At 1317 hours, the West Grove Fire Company (Stations 12 & 22) was alerted to a reported Garage Fire in the on Lewisville Road in New London Township. Calls to 911 reported a vehicle on fire inside a garage.
Ambulance 22-2 was the first to arrive finding a working fire inside a single story detached garage. Engine 12-1 upon arrival the crew stretched an 1.75" handline into the interior and began attacking the fire bringing the fire under quickily control preventing serious damage to the garage. The fire was placed under control shortly after the fire departments arrival.
The Union Fire Company Engine 21-2 and Engine 21-4 was alerted to assit and upon arrival the crews went assisted with overhaul of both the garage and the vehicle. Engine 21-2 supplied Engine 12-1 via a 3" line. Engine 21-1 was redirected to Station 12 for the fill-in assignment.
