| Our partners at the Avondale Fire Company are holding a chicken barbeque to benefit the fire company on September 19. With a fantastic meal of chicken, mushroom salad, four-bean salad, cookie and drink, this is a bargain for $10 and it goes to a good cause.
Meal pickup is between 11am and 3pm on that Saturday at Station 23 along Route 41 just below Avondale Borough. Order your tickets today by emailing president@afc23.org and reserve your meal.
As you may have heard, the West Grove and Avondale fire companies are working in partnership to merge, and will form a new organization called Southern Chester County Fire Rescue (Station 26).
