| If it's October then you can assume the fire trucks of the West Grove Fire Company will be visiting schools and daycares across the area as part of the company's annual program to deliver fire safety messages to thousands of children each year.
This morning's visit to the Growing Place in Jennersville is among dozens of sessions over the next weeks teaching lessons on "stop, drop and roll," smoke detectors, home safety plans, calling 911 and familiarity with firefighters. Highlighted by delightful presentations by Firefighter Lisa and other WGFC first responders, the acclaimed fire safety program is off and running during this years fire prevention month.
Parents can reinforce these safety messages when children come home, practicing home evacuations, and talking about fire safety. Fire safety information can be found on the WGFC website and online. Our thanks to the schools and daycares for helping to schedule these visits. |
