Past WGFC President and current WGFC Relief Association President Steve "Reds" Flegal was honored recently for his tireless work representing the Commonwealth's fire service at the national level, and for his continued service at the local, county, and Federal levels.

Each year, Steve has been instrumental in organizing legislative visits to Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, where first responders can meet with elected officials and their staffs on a range of issued important to the fire service. These visits culminate in a "breakfast on the Hill" event where PA fire service leaders and legislators and staff can come together. Recently, at a Commonwealth firefighters meeting in Exton, members of PACFCA, PFESI and FSAP where able to formally announce that the annual Breakfast on the Hill in Washington, D.C., has been rebranded to the Steve “Redman” Flegal Legislative Program Day on the Hill!
