Two vehicles sustained damage at this crash on Route 896 in front of the WGFC fire station in New London.

West Grove firefighters and EMS personnel reported a crash in front of the entrance to the WGFC's New London Station at 6:43pm on the evening of January 30.
There first responders found two cars that had significant front-end damage right where Fire House Lane intersects with Route 896/Newark Road. Both vehicles were blocking the roadway. While the crew of Ambulance 22-2 began evaluating potential patients, the crew of Squad 22 arrived and deployed a 1-3/4" hand line as there was significant damage in both engine compartments.
Fortunately, there were no patients transported by the ambulances, and the crew assisted with scene control. The response was downgraded with WGFC fire police handling traffic control until the PA State Police and tow trucks could clear the roadway and re-open Route 896.
