The West Grove Fire Company was dispatched Friday morning to an auto accident with reported entrapment in Penn Township.
The dispatch just before 10am reported that a car had struck a tree and that the driver was trapped. The crash was along Pusey Mill Road near the Route 1 By Pass.
The WGFC responded with Ladder 22 which had been at the schools for an Egg Drop event. Also responding was Rescue 22, Ambulance 22-2, and Utility 22-3, and Medic 94.
Medic 94 arrived quickly as the call was near their station in Jennersville and reported that a vehicle had hit a tree, but that bystanders had helped remove the victim. With the vehicle off the roadway and the entrapment nullified, the fire response was reduced.
Ambulance 22-2 and Medic 94 treated the patient who was transported to Christiana Hospital. WGFC fire police assisted with keeping the scene safe during the 30 minutes that WGFC units were on scene. |
