Avon Grove Rotary Club Annual Pancake Breakfast Supports Fire Companies
By Secretary Bill Wohl
March 1, 2020
Every year, area service organizations work to support the West Grove and Avondale Fire Companies. On March 1, the Rotary Club ran its annual pancake breakfast, a community event that raises funds that are distributed to both area fire companies.
With a steady crowd coming in for pancakes and sausage from 8:00am until mid-day, the event was held at Station 23 in Avondale. Rotary Club members manned the kitchen and welcomed diners. Area Boy Scouts assisted in keeping the dining tables cleaned and taking out the trash. WGFC and Avondale firefighters also helped this year, serving food and assisting the Rotary members with the event.
We are fortunate to have such strong support in the greater Avon Grove community. We join with the Avondale Fire Company in thanking the Rotary Club for their leadership and hard work, along with the area Boy Scouts who helped, and to all the people who purchased tickets and turned out to support this great event.
