The West Grove Fire Company assisted the Cochranville Fire Company on a detached garage fire in West Fallowfield Township on Friday.
Fire departments from Chester and Lancaster counties were dispatched at just after 3:30pm for reports of fire in a garage on King Road. First arriving units found a fully involved garage fire that extended through the roof. WGFC responded with Ladder 22, Engine 22-2, and Tanker 22. The ladder crew assisted with firefighting, and the engine crew went to a nearby pond to draft water as a fill site to supply the tanker operation.
West Grove first responders were on scene for 2+ hours. There was one injury on this call.
