The West Grove Fire Company was awarded a Federal Grant for Smoke Detectors and other Fire Prevention Material. This award was presented for the Year 2004, and we received the material in late 2005. Part of this Grant was to purchase smoke detectors with a 10 year lithium power battery so that high risk people will have a device that will continue to operate for 10 years without the need to change its battery. We also have purchased detectors that are designed for the hearing impaired. These particular units will be installed by an insured and bonded electrician at our expense. Part of our goal is to ensure that every resident in the Avon Grove Area has working smoke detectors. We are especially interested in the Older Population of our community and the very young, which statistics shows are the most vulnerable. Please fill out the following information that will only be used by the West Grove Fire Company and/or the Chester County Emergency Services Department.
