A house fire was dispatched for the West Grove Fire Company and area companies Thursday afternoon at 4:54pm in Penn Township.
The call, in the Oxford Village Trailer Park, was reported as smoke in the residence and then a fire from the roof of the residence. WGFC Engine 22-1 arrived as the first due engine, laying a supply line up to the scene from the nearest intersection, followed quickly by Ladder 21 (Oxford). Crews entered the residence and gained access to a roof area where a fire had started in electrical wires. Crews quickly brought the situation under control at 5:12pm, operating in very hot weather conditions, with a heat index well above 105 degrees.
