The West Grove Fire Company and units for mutual aid companies responded to a reported house fire in the Stonecroft development in London Grove Township Wednesday afternoon.
With smoke reported in the basement and burning smell, WGFC responded with Engine 22-1, Ladder 22, Engine 22-2, Engine 22-3, and ambulance, Brush 22 and fire police. Engine 22-1 arrived and established a water supply at a hydrant across the street while crews investigated the smoke condition in the basement, ultimately handling a problem with an electrical outlet. Crews vented smoke and the situation was under control 12 minutes later.
The house fire dispatch drew units from various departments which were ultimately made available from the scene, with Engine 27-2 from Cochranville standing by at Station 22 until the scene was cleared.
