WGFC Welcomes Statewide Softball Players with Flag Display

The statewide championship tournament for girl's softball is being held at the Avon Grove Little League Field this week, with teams in town from all across the Commonwealth. At last night's opening ceremony, the players and coaches marched onto the field under the giant American flag displayed on Ladder 22 by the West Grove Fire Company.
Players from as far as the Pittsburgh area are in West Grove for the double elimination tournament for girls aged 9-11, which will crown a state champion this weekend. And, good news -- the local Avon Grove team is competing for the championship as well. All games are open to the public at the Little League complex, on Schoolhouse Road in London Grove Township.
Teams from all over PA are competing, with the local Avon Grove team also in the running for the statewide title.
