A car crash near the intersection of Gypsy Hill Road and Route 896 caused Route 896 to be closed for several hours Saturday evening, and a wide area power outage.
Engine 22-1 was on scene where a car had severed a PECO pole, leaving the pole, transformer and wires across Route 896. Fortunately there were no injuries, with WGFC fire police, and the State Police on scene with road closure for some time.
