A two vehicle crash tied up traffic on Route 896 in London Britain Township for hours Friday morning.
A minivan struck the back of a delivery truck parked along the side of Route 896 just below Chambers Rock Road, pushing the delivery truck up onto the roadbank.
The WGFC was dispatched just before 1100am, responding with Engine 22-1, Engine 22-3, both ambulances, along with Brush 22 and Utility 22-1. Engine 22-3 arrived to report the roadway partially blocked and one injury. One driver was transported to Christiana Hospital. WGFC crews stopped the spread of engine and transmission fluids and handled traffic management.
Crews were on scene for about two hours until both vehicles could be towed away.
