First responders from the West Grove Fire Company were dispatched to a crash on Route 41 just before midnight Friday night. The accident was reported along Gap Newport Pike between Sixth Street in Avondale and Glen Willow Road in London Grove Township.

A car apparently struck a Southern Chester County Regional Police car stopped on the shoulder, rolling over in the process. Fortunately, the officer - who was sitting in the car -- was not injured nor the other party in the traffic stop. WGFC EMS crews cared for the driver of the car that crashed, and WGFC firefighters attended to scene safety and cleanup.

West Grove Rescue 22 and Engine 22-1 responded, along with Utility 22-3, ambulance and fire police. Thanks as well to the Avondale State Police and Avondale Fire Company personnel who also assisted on scene.
