Crews from the West Grove Fire Company joined with other emergency services personnel to honor the passing of Avondale Fire Company life member, Davis Howell.
Ladder 22 helped fly the WGFC's very large American flag for the funeral procession. Working in tandem with Tower 24 from the Kennett Fire Company, the procession began at the Avondale Fire Company firehouse in New Garden Township and made its way to New London. Tanker 22 from West Grove was in the procession, and WGFC fire police assisted with traffic control for the procession.
Davis joined the Avondale Fire Company in 1970 and was an active driver until 2020. Davis held the positions of Assistant Engineer and Trustee for many years. In 2020, Davis received his 50 years of service award. For more information, see: https://www.kuzoandfoulkfh.com/obituaries/2021/03/12/davis-poppop-howell/
