Electrical Fire in Franklin Township

Units from West Grove Fire Company responded to reports of an electrical fire at a home on Armitage Court in Franklin Township this morning.

Dispatched at 11:18 am, the Chester County 911 Center reported that the homeowner stated there were flames coming from an exterior electrical outlet. Chief 22 arrived and directed responding units to look for fire spread around an outlet located on the side of the home near HVAC equipment.

First-in Engine 22-2 stretched an 1-3/4" attack line as a precaution. Ladder 22 positioned in the driveway. Tanker 22 was on standby for water supply, if needed. Also on scene were Engine 22-3, both WGFC Ambulances and Fire Police.

Crews opened up the area around the outlet in question, and used thermal imaging cameras to detect any potential fire spread. Crews were on the scene for about 30 minutes.
