In a continuing effort to gain an understanding of area buildings and facilities, the West Grove Fire Company dedicated an evening to touring the Dansko headquarters and warehouse facilities in Penn Township. As part of the WGFC's effort to pre-plan buildings in its first-due fire district, WGFC personnel were given an overview of both buildings.

The first stop was the company headquarters, located on Federal Boulevard just off Old Baltimore Pike. There crews walked the office building, getting an overview of the building's fire alarm system and mechanical rooms. This site also includes the Dansko Company Store, which is open to the public.

Moving to the warehouse, located on Route 796 south of Jennersville on Five Star Drive, the WGFC toured the 200,000 square foot building. During the tour, the group noted sprinkler systems, hydrant locations, and mechanical spaces. A 100,000 gallon water tank supplements the hydrant system to provide additional water in case of an emergency. The tour also included a walk around of the warehouse floor, with an overview of the extensive inventory on hand.
