Fire Box - 1402 Minutes after 0300 hours, West Grove Fire Company was alerted for one engine to assist Singerly Fire Company Companies 3, 13, 14 (Elkton, MD) on a structure fire in the 900 block of Blake Road in the Fair Hill section of Cecil County. Engine 22-1 responded with a crew of three volunteers and Utility 22 responded with one volunteer to meet a fully staffed engine company. Minutes after the response of Engine 22-1, Tanker 22 was alerted to respond since this area has no fire hydrants. Tanker 22 responded with two volunteers, but was cancelled while enroute since a draft from a nearby stream was used as the primary water source. Engine 22-1’s crew assisted on fire suppression and overhaul for over two hours. Crews were then released per Command. |
