WGFC Assists in Oxford

On Saturday February 20, 2016, West Grove Fire Co was dispatched to assist Union Fire Co of Oxford at 4:00 AM for a house fire on Market Street in Oxford borough. E22-1, E22-2 and Utility 22 responded with 12 firefighters. Oxford borough police were on scene quickly and notified the responding fire departments that the house was well involved. Oxford chief officers were on scene quickly and reported a 3 story twin dwelling with fire showing on the first floor. E21-1, E21-2 and L21 were on scene within minutes and had most of the fire knocked down within ten minutes. The WGFC crews arrived and assisted the oxford crews with secondary searches and overhaul. The West Grove crews were back in station by 6:00 AM. The West Grove Fire Company family would like to extend our thoughts and prayers to the family who suffered a devastating loss.
