Two Vehicle Collision on 796

On June 8, 2015 at 8:11pm, just as an intense storm cell drenches our area, units from the West Grove Fire Company were dispatched to a multi-vehicle auto accident at the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Route 796. Members were already on station, just completing their weekly training, and quickly got several pieces of apparatus on the street; Rescue 22, Engine 12, Ladder 22, Ambulance 22-1/2/3, fire police personnel, and all three chiefs.
Deputy 22 was first to arrive, correcting the address of the collision occurring on 796, south of Baltimore Pike, in front of the Shops at Jennersville. Two vehicles were involved in a rear end collision, both blocking the intersection. Rescue and medical crews arrived, assessed the scene, and determined there was a total of three patients. All three patients were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Rescue crews stabilized the vehicles, controlled the hazards, swept up the scattered debris, and assisted with traffic control. Once the Ambulances left the scene, transporting to the hospital, the incident was turned over to the PA State Police. West Grove Units cleared the scene an hour later.
Thank you to the bystanders who stopped and assisted, especially members from the Cochranville Fire Company for their help.
