On Sunday Feb 1, 2015, at 1231 hours, Chester County Fire Board dispatched the West Grove Fire Company to an auto accident in the 300 block of East Baltimore Pike. Within minutes after dispatch, units from Station 22 and Station 12 responded. The company was conducting in-house training that afternoon, so crews were on the street quickly. Ambulance 22-2 was first to arrive onscene and reported a 3 vehicle accident with the roadway partially blocked. Rescue 22 arrived onscene and assisted the ambulance crew with patient care, cleared the hazards/debris and assisted with traffic control along with the Fire Police. Once the scene was under control, the incident was held to Rescue 22, Ambulance 22-2, and Fire Police; returning Rescue 12 and releasing the crew for the second staffed ambulance. Ambulance 22-2 transported one patient with minor injuries to a local hospital. Rescue 22 and Fire Police remained onscene until the cars were removed by Rivera Towing. West Grove units went available at 1322 hours.
