Two vehicles collided Saturday evening at Flint Hill Road and Route 896 in a call handled by units from the West Grove Fire Company.

Despite a well-marked four way stop intersection, a car was T-boned, leading to a collision that injured one of the drivers.

Units from the WGFC responded, including Engine 32, Ambulance 12-1, and Rescue 12. Engine 32 arrived from the nearby Station 32, and reported a two vehicle crash with the roadway blocked. Ambulance 12-1 arrived and began patient care for a driver who was lying by the side of the road being attended to by helpful passersby.

A large contingent of fire police from the WGFC then arrived and handled a complex traffic situation with lanes blocked on both Flint Hill and Route 896. Seven fire policemen responded to assist on this call.

The ambulance transported one patient to Christiana hospital. PA State Police transported one other driver to their barracks in Avondale. Deputy Chief Gattorno had command at this call.

Unit's cleared about an hour after dispatch.
