Under a huge American flag, the West Grove Fire Company proudly displayed fire and EMS apparatus at the annual Penn Township Day events on September 28.

The fire company showed off a full array of the company's equipment, and hundreds of area residents, visitors and especially children toured the fire trucks and ambulances throughout the afternoon.

WGFC displayed Engines 12, 22 and 32, Rescue 22, Ladder 22, all three ambulances, and the Tanker. Ladder 22 flew the company's huge flag high above the event. Antique 22 was also on display and of interest to many visitors. WGFC also provided fire prevention and fire safety materials to adults and children, and many of the kids visiting were wearing WGFC yellow fire helmets around the event.

West Grove author (and former mayor) Scott Steele was on hand to sign copies of his book -- a 114 year history of the fire company (available through this website at http://www.wgfc.org/content/front/booksale.cfm

Many thanks to the WGFC fire police who directed traffic throughout the event.
