On Tuesday, September 16, six members of the WGFC joined Mill Creek Fire Company at the NCC De Fire Training Center for a class on controlling propane fires. The goal of the class was to prepare firefighters on the proper techniques and teamwork required to safely control and shut off the source to a propane tank fire. The technique requires two teams of 5-6 firefighters each manning a hose line as well as an officer in the middle to direct the team as well as shut off the fuel source.

After a night of training, Mill Creek invited West Grove back to their new firehouse for pizza and soft drinks to connect and share stories. Congratulations to Mill Creek on a beautiful new fire house. We wish them the best of luck with it and thank them for a very good night of training and brotherhood. A good time was had by all and we look forward to doing it again soon.
