At 0619 hours this morning, WGFC station 22 was dispatched for a medical alert alarm at Luther House 1 in Penn Township. Ambulance 22-2 and Ladder 22 with 4 firefighters made the response. The ambulance crew arrived to find an accidental activation of the alarm.

As Ladder 22 cleared the scene, Chester County fire board requested the ladder to respond to the 500 block of Lewisville Road for an outbuilding. This added the rest of the WGFC and Union Fire Company of Oxford station 21. The ladder made the response as well as Engine 12 and 22, Tanker 22, and Engine 21-2. The ladder arrived on-scene to a chicken coop already burnt up. The crew went into service with a water can and a pike pole. Assistant 22 pulled in behind the ladder and held the response to Ladder 22 and returned the balance. The crew knocked down the coop into itself and wet down the debris. Crews went available 20 minutes after arrival on-scene.
