Two vehicle Crash on State Road and Compost Fire

At 1111 hours, West Grove Fire Company was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on State road at School Road. Rescue 22 responded to the crash, along with Ambulance 22-2. While responding, Chester Fire Board upgraded the crash to an accident with injuries, adding medic 94-2 to the call. Chester gave a report that there were two vehicles blocking with two people injured.
Rescue 22 arrived on scene with two vehicles blocking the east bound lane of State Road. Rescue 22 was positioned so all lanes were blocked for the safety of all crews operating and Captain 22 established State Road Command. Ambulance 23-2 was dispatched to treat the second patient. Rescue 22's crew cribbed the vehicle and assisted with removing the patient from the vehicle and into the ambulance.
Both patients were transported to Christiana Hospital. Rescue 22's crew swept up debris and cleaned up the scene.
All units cleared the scene at 1217 hours

Second call
While Rescue 22 was handling the MVA, Engine 12 & 32 responded to a second call for a compost fire in the 3201 box of London Briton. Deputy 22 reported a small mulch fire that was spreading up around a tree. The assignment was handled by the two engines.
All units cleared the mulch fire at 1140 hours.
