| On Monday night the West Grove Fire Company members met at Station 12 to train on packing and deploying the 400 foot pre-connect that was packed onto Engine 22 & 12. The night started out with a Powerpoint presentation by Captain 22, where the members learned a step by step process on how to pack and deploy this newly added hose line.
After the presentation, the firefighters suited up and began the hands on training. Using both Engine 12 & 22, crews packed and pulled the 400 foot lines. Firefighters were shown some different tactics on how to deploy the line and given some examples on why the pre-connect would be utilized (basement fires, leaving room for the ladder, back yard shed fires, apartment buildings and any other type of call that would require a long hose stretch).
