| At 11:37 PM the West Grove Fire Company was dispatched to the 100 block of Paschall Mill Road in London Grove Township for an accident reported with entrapment. The reports came in that a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed crashed into a telephone pole and a house, and there was one person trapped in one of the vehicles. Upon arrival, Deputy 22 and Medic 94-1 investigated and found one patient confined in the vehicle. Crews confirmed there was a pole and wires down and the vehicle had struck one of the corners of an adjacent house, as well as three parked cars. Rescue 22 arrived with orders to stabilize the vehicle and open the driver's side door with the hydraulic tools. Rescue 12's crew followed close behind and assisted with the extrication and clean up. The ambulance transported one patient to Christiana Hospital for treatment. Belfor was requested to respond to the scene to stabilize the structure. Fire police remained on scene until the vehicles were removed and crews finally cleared at approximately 1:30am. |
