On Saturday, May 8, 2010 the West Grove Fire Company Volunteers spent a few hours out of their weekend to drill on live fire evolutions in the Southern Chester County Training Trailer.

The training trailer is new addition to the greater Southern Chester County area. The purchase of the trailer was a joint effort of the seven fire companies located in Southern Chester County. Through the assistance of a federal grant and determination of the West Grove Fire Company, Union Fire Company of Oxford, Kennett Fire Company, Avondale Fire Company, Longwood Fire Company, Cochranville Fire Company, and Po-Mar-Lin Fire Company the volunteers will now have a training center available in the south. With the innovated design of the trailer, each company will be able to have the mobile unit dropped off at their firehouses and spend valuable time training on an assortment of different life saving drills.

Special thanks to the Southern Chester County Chief's Association for working together to make training a priority in the south.
