Fire Box - 1201

At 1145 hours Engine 12 was dispatched to a reported car fire in the 500 block of Lewisville Road in New London Township. Reports from the Chester County 9-1-1 Center stated a pickup truck fully involved that is 50 feet from a dwelling and has exposures to 2 other vehicles.

Engine 22 responded with a crew of 4, as Engine 12 responded with a crew of 2. Engine 12 was a mile out and noticed the black header of smoke knowing they now had a working fire. Once the engine arrived, Pipeman Predmore II grabbed 200' of 1 3/4" attack-line while Captain 12 handled the pump. Quick work was made by the two engine crews saving an estimated $10,000 in tools.

Engine 22 was setup as the command post with Sergeant 22 as the commanding officer. Command placed Fire Box 1201 under control at 1211 hours and all units cleared at 1233 hours.
