| Units from Chester and New Castle Counties were called to provide mutual aid to the Singerly Fire Company of Elkton at a fire near Lewisville in a residence at 630pm Saturday evening. The call was just south of the PA-Maryland border off of Route 841/MD213.
West Grove sent Engine 22-1 and Tanker 22 to the house fire, with reports of a bedroom on the second floor fully involved. Arriving Elkton units reported smoke from the roofline upon arrival. Engine 22-1 operated as the 4th due engine, assisting with opening up the fire building and setting some ground ladders.
Crews were on the scene for about an hour. WGFC crews returning from this call were also sent to a fire alarm call in London Grove Township on Indian Run Road. |
