| All across the country this week on Tuesday, communities celebrated National Night Out, a popular, annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie.
This year's event in West Grove Borough was due to strong efforts by the Southern Chester County Regional Police, in cooperation with West Grove Borough. Once again, first responders from the West Grove and Avondale Fire Companies participated. Ladder 22 proudly displayed the fire company's large American flag, and was accompanied by Engine 23 and Engine 22-1. For more information on National Night Out, see the link below.
Appearing together at multiple events this year, the two fire companies are working in partnership to merge, and will form a new organization called Southern Chester County Fire Rescue. SCCFR is expected to begin operation on January 1, 2027. For more information on SCCFR, click the link below.
Thanks to our friends at the Regional Police and the Borough of West Grove for having the fire companies join again this year to celebrate National Night Out! |
