| A Sunday evening training at Station 23 focused on the techniques of drafting water and establishing a rural water supply.
Crews from both Avondale and West Grove set up a portable tank from Tanker 23, with Engine 22-1 sued to draft water and supply a master stream and handline. The goal of the training was to qualify engine operators on water drafting and to showcase techniques in setting up portable tanks. The scenarios help train first responders on water supply for fires where hydrants are not available.
The training session again demonstrated the close working partnership between the two fire companies. |
