| First responders from the West Grove Fire Company staged a small parade in New London Township Sunday afternoon passing by the 90th birthday celebration for Past Chief W. Forrest Hammond.
In front of family and friends, Past President Bill "Radar" O'Connell presented Chief Hammond with a plaque celebrating 75 years of volunteer service to the West Grove Fire Company with members greeting Chief Hammond and wishing him Happy Birthday.
The celebratory parade was led by Antique 22, an apparatus that Chief Hammond was very familiar with during his long career at West Grove, a company he lead as chief in the mid-1970's. We wish him, his wife and his family all the best, and we thank him for his many, many years of service to this community. |
