Throughout the years, West Grove first responders and leaders have been visible at the local, county, state and federal level. West Grove has always prided itself in being progressive, active and engaged, and the fire company's efforts have been recognized in Harrisburg, Washington DC and beyond.

Another example the WGFC being influential outside the area came recently when Past Chief Eric Felker published a leadership article in one of the fire service's most visible publications -- Firehouse Magazine. Chief Felker's article discusses the decision process faced by fire chiefs at volunteer fire departments on how long to stay in office and serves as solid and practical advice for fire service leaders.

Firehouse.com has more than three quarter of a million page views monthly, making it one of the more widely-read dedicated fire service websites available. The story published by Chief Felker can be viewed at the link below. He joined the WGFC in 2004 and completed his sixth year of being fire chief in 2025. We congratulate Eric on this noteworthy accomplishment.
