| Area mutual aid companies assisted the West Grove Fire Company on an outbuilding fire in London Britain Township on Friday evening at approximately 9:45pm.
Dispatched originally as a fire type unknown, the nature changed to an outbuilding due to reports by callers to the 911 Center. Added in mutual aid companies from the Aetna, Hook, Hose & Ladder Company of Newark and the Avondale Fire Company made the response along with WGFC units. Aetna's Engine 9 and Quint 10 arrived first with quick application of water from Engine 9's bumper attack line, with other units arriving to support with overhaul.
Quick work from staffed units had water on the fire and the response reduced 15 minutes after the initial dispatch. Most units were clear of the scene in about 45 minutes with no injuries. |
