Units from area fire departments were dispatched to a reported house fire in the Twin Ponds neighborhood of East Nottingham Township Wednesday.
The West Grove Fire Company was dispatched on a mutual aid assist to support the Union Fire Company of Oxford for the fire, that was reported in an attached garage on Redbud Drive. Arriving units found heavy fire in the garage.
The arriving engine and firefighters from Oxford worked aggressively to prevent fire spread into the dwelling. The WGFC responded with Engine 22-1, Tanker 22, Utility 22-3 and Brush 22, and joined with departments from Chester and Cecil Counties on the call which was declared under control approximately 45 minutes after the 7:41pm dispatch.
