The West Grove Fire Company was dispatched for an auto accident in London Britain Township Sunday afternoon.
The call along Good Hope Road between Ridgewood Drive and Spitfire House Lane involved a car that got off the road and hit a downed tree resulting in significant damage to the vehicle and injuries to the driver. With initial reports of injuries, Medic 94 paramedics were added to the call, with the WGFC responding with Engine 22-1, Squad 22, Ambulances 22-1 and -4, and fire police.
Arriving first responders found a vehicle across the center of the road. One patient was evaluated, and Chief 22 scaled back the WGFC response to Engine 22-1 and Ambulance 1. The ambulance transported to the hospital with Medic 94-1 onboard. Fire police remained on the scene to assist the police.
WGFC units were on scene about 30 minutes.
