The West Grove Fire Company was dispatched to assist Singerly Fire Company of Elkton as part of the second alarm assignment for a commercial building fire at the Cherry Hill Plaza, 42 Beauchamp Rd in the Cherry Hill section of Cecil County.

Members were just completing an on station duty crew assignment at the New London station and responded with E22-2. Upon arrival, several Cecil County companies were already on scene making an attack on the fire. E22-2 staged with other apparatus on Leeds Rd off Route 213 and the crew was added to the manpower pool. Approximately 30 minutes after arrival, the fire was placed under control by the Singerly Incident Commander and West Grove units were released from the scene.
