| To help speed service to the community, the WGFC has encouraged its volunteers to staff the fire stations for several hours each weekday evening. Crews use these sessions to conduct training, handle routine truck checks and maintenance, and, when called, respond quickly to emergencies.
When the crew of Engine 22-3 stopped by an area pizza shop for dinner while on duty Thursday evening, they were pleasantly surprised that their check at 896 Pie had been taken care of...due to the generosity of Ken Gent, co-owner of K & T Automotive next door.
Throughout our history, the WGFC has been fortunate for the support of local business owners and the community at large. We thank Ken for buying our London Britain crew dinner Thursday night and for his ongoing support of the fire company and our first responders. |
