A subject who fell off a horse and was subsequently stepped on by the horse was flown via air ambulance from Franklin Township yesterday.
The West Grove Fire Company and Medic 94 were dispatched at 10:00am to Fairview Lane for an injured subject from an equestrian accident. Crews from WGFC located the injured person well off the road and utilized Squad 22 to evacuate the patient from the scene out to a waiting WGFC ambulance. The patient was flown by LifeNet61 (based at Christiana Hospital) to the Johns Hopkins Trauma Center in Baltimore.
ATVs and personnel from Cochranville (Station 27) and Aetna of Newark (Station 9) were also requested to the scene in case the patient had been further out into the fields and woods. |
