Each year, the West Grove Fire Company sponsors scholarships to deserving graduates of the Avon Grove High School for students considering further studies in public service or emergency services.

Two $1,000.00 scholarships are presented in honor of Past Fire Chief John T. Crawford each year. For 2024, the scholarships were presented to Adriana Buck, who will attend West Virginia University to study forensic science; and to Mary Kate Walker, who will attend Sacred Heart University, studying criminal justice and psychology.

The scholarships were presented at the annual pre-graduation ceremonies held at the high school, with WGFC represented by Firefighter Lisa Glass. Congratulations and best wishes to Adriana and Mary Kate!
