West Grove Fire Company units were dispatched for a reported vehicle fire in Franklin Township at 1:45pm Tuesday.

The fire company responded with Engines 22-1 and 22-3, Rescue 22 and Tanker 22, as well as an ambulance and fire police. Initial reports indicated a possible garbage truck on fire, however arriving WGFC units found a tri-axle dump truck with a fire and smoke in the area of the brakes on the third axle. Engine 22-1 stretched a hose line to extinguish the fire and cool the brakes.

Units were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
