West Grove Fire Company units were dispatched to assist the Union Fire Company of Oxford at a building fire in Lower Oxford Township just after 4:30pm.
Firefighters from eight fire companies joined in the attack on a large commercial building that is part of Valley View Hardware. Heavy fire was showing as firefighters arrived. The building was well involved which necessitated an exterior attack that utilized multiple handlines and two aerial ladders.
WGFC responded with Ladder 22, Engine 22-2, and Tanker 22, with WGFC crews on the scene for approximately 4.5 hours.
