Firefighters from the West Grove Fire Company were alerted at 3pm on Saturday for a brush & woods fire along State Road.
The Chester County 911 Center reported approximately 200 feet of brush and woods on fire in the rear of a residence at 1250 State Road in New London Township. Engine 22-1, Brush 22, Tanker 22, and Utility 22 responded, along with an ambulance and WGFC fire police.
Engine 22-1 went on scene and reported two areas burning behind the homes, and deployed booster lines from the engine and brush to quickly extinguish the blaze. The fire originated in a trash pile burning from the previous evening left unattended. WGFC crews were clear in about 45 minutes. |
