Crash in New London Township

Firefighters and EMTs from West Grove Fire Company were alerted very early Sunday morning for a reported car crash at Lewisville and Chesterville Roads in New London Township.

A passerby discovered the crash at 4:20am and reported that airbags were deployed, according to the 911 Center. Engines 22-1 and 22-3 responded, along with Rescue 22 and a WGFC ambulance. Rescue 22 and Ambulance 22-2 arrived and reported one car into an embankment, partially blocking the road. Engine 22-3 arrived shortly thereafter, with crews looking around the accident scene for possible victims as no drivers or passengers were evident.

The car had hit a road bank and a stop sign - which was laying in the middle of Route 841 in the southbound lane. With no injuries, the scene was turned over to the PA State Police, with WGFC units returning in less than 30 minutes.
