At the West Grove Fire Company, we are always grateful for the support we get from the community and from local businesses. Today was a delightful surprise when a local business stopped in to Station 22 in West Grove to say thanks to emergency services personnel.

Due to a mix-up in scheduling, the great team at Hazel's Catering in Newark, Delaware found themselves with some great food but the event was on a different date...what to do? They decided to bring the food to local firehouses to say thank you to first responders and sent their team out to make surprise deliveries.

The volunteers and staff at WGFC were delighted when the team from Hazel's showed up with boxes of fresh sandwiches. Firefighters and EMTs are always ready for a good meal, and the unexpected food delivery was very much appreciated.
