West Grove firefighter pagers alerted at 1:54am this morning with a dispatch for an outbuilding fire at the intersection of Mount Hope and Oxford Roads. As part of the dispatch, an Engine was also requested from the Union Fire Company of Oxford.

Calls to the 911 Center indicated a shed on the property along Oxford Road was on fire. The first arriving Assistant Chief from West Grove indicated a 20' x 8' shed well involved.

Rescue 22 responding from WGFC's New London Station was the first arriving Engine, with crews pulling an 1-3/4" attack line and getting water quickly on the fire. They were assisted by Oxford's Engine 21-2. Additional units from WGFC, including Ladder 22, Engine 22-2, and Engine 22-3 and the Ambulance arrived on scene as well. WGFC Fire Police handled traffic.

Units were on scene for approximately 30 minutes.
