A Friday evening back to school night at the Avon Grove Intermediate School featured public safety units from the West Grove Fire Company and area police agencies.
Third graders were welcomed back to school with an open house, and the WGFC was invited to be present. Crews brought Engine 22-2 and Ladder 22 to be on display. Dozens of students and parents toured the apparatus, and the kids loved climbing on board and sitting in the same seats used by firefighters. And they loved getting a WGFC Fire Chief hat (designed for all boys and girls).
The fire company looks forward to seeing these students again in October for Fire Prevention Month activities in the area schools.
